These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Syntara application and service. By registering and using Syntara, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted all of the conditions below.
Registering for Syntara or using the service means you have entered into these Terms with us. If you do not agree with any of the conditions, do not use Syntara.
These Terms cover the Syntara mobile applications for iOS and Android, desktop clients, web interface and server infrastructure (collectively, the "Service").
Syntara is a messenger for text messaging, voice and video calls, media file sharing and other real-time communication. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, except those required by applicable law.
You must be at least 12 years old to use Syntara. By registering you confirm that you are 12 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you must use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
By using Syntara you agree not to post, transmit or distribute any content that:
Any messages, media or other materials you create, send or post on Syntara remain your property. To operate the Service, however, you grant Syntara a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, transmit, display and process such content to the extent necessary to provide you with the Service.
Secret chat content is end-to-end encrypted (E2E) and is not accessible to us in decrypted form; the licence above applies only to the encrypted form of such content.
Syntara reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to:
Moderation, blocking and removal decisions are taken by Syntara at its sole discretion with the interests of the community in mind.
The app provides built-in tools to protect you from unwanted content and behaviour:
We review all reports and take action within 24 hours of receipt. Reports flagged as urgent (CSAM, terrorism) are handled with priority.
Processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy at /privacy, which is an integral part of these Terms.
All rights to the source code, design, logos, trademarks and other elements of the Service belong to Syntara and are protected by intellectual-property law. Using any Syntara element without written permission is prohibited.
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account in Settings → Account → Delete Account.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms. Termination of access does not release you from obligations that arose prior to termination.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by applicable law, Syntara does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that it will meet your expectations.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Syntara is not liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation. Disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved by the court at the place of Syntara’s registration, unless otherwise required by mandatory provisions of applicable law.
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will notify you in-app at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
